Privacy Policy — What We Collect and Why
What we collect when you buy a subscription, why we hold it, how long we keep it, who else processes it, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion.
Short version: we collect your email, your order record and enough technical data to stop fraud. We never see your card number, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
Last updated: 26 July 2026. This policy explains what ip4ktv collects when you buy or use a subscription, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
It is written in plain language on purpose. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer against the law where [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is established before this site goes live.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Questions, requests and complaints go to [email protected] and are answered by a person.
What we collect
- Your email address. Required. It is where activation details, receipts and renewal reminders are sent, and it is how your line is identified when you contact support. Without it there is nothing to deliver.
- Your order record. Which plan, which duration, how many connections, the date, the amount, and the payment reference the processor hands back. This is your receipt, the basis of any refund, and our accounting record.
- Your WhatsApp number, but only if you choose to message us there. It is used to answer you and to match the conversation to your order.
- Your IP address at the moment of purchase and at activation. Held for fraud and abuse checks: chargeback disputes, credentials being shared far outside one household, and automated signup attempts. It is not used to build a picture of what you watch.
- Attribution parameters. If you arrived through a link carrying a campaign, referral or affiliate parameter, that value is stored against the order so the referrer can be credited correctly.
- Technical logs. Ordinary server-side request logs from the site and the streaming platform: timestamps, error codes, and which server served a session.
What we deliberately do not collect
We do not ask for your date of birth, your home address, a government ID or your card number. Payment details are entered on the payment processor's own page and never reach our servers or our staff. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run third-party ad trackers on this site.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To perform the contract. You bought a subscription and we have to deliver and support it.
- Legitimate interest. Preventing fraud, chargebacks and credential sharing that degrades the service for everyone else on the server.
- Legal obligation. Keeping the records that tax and accounting rules require.
- Consent. Marketing email only. Withdraw it whenever you like and the service carries on unchanged.
How long we keep it
- Order records and receipts: seven years, or the period the applicable accounting rules require, whichever is longer.
- Email address on a live subscription: for the life of the subscription plus 24 months, so a returning customer is recognized rather than treated as new.
- IP addresses and fraud-check data: 12 months.
- Support conversations: 24 months.
- Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent, plus 24 months as evidence that the consent existed.
Who else processes it
- Payment processors. They run the transaction and hold the card or wallet details we deliberately never receive. They act as independent controllers of that data under their own policies.
- Email delivery provider. Sends activation emails, receipts and renewal reminders. It sees your address and the content of those messages.
- Hosting and streaming infrastructure providers. They run the servers this site and the streams sit on, and process technical logs on our instruction.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, trade or share your data with advertisers, data brokers or unnamed "partners".
What you can ask us to do
You can ask to see what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict how it is used, or to object to a particular use. Email [email protected] and name the one you want. We reply within 30 days and there is no charge.
One consequence worth stating: deleting your data ends an active subscription, because the email address is how the line is identified. We will confirm that with you before acting on it.
Cookies and similar storage
The site stores what it needs to function and to remember an attribution parameter across your visit. There is no cross-site advertising network embedded here, and nothing is sold on to one.
Children
The service is sold to adults. We do not knowingly sell to anyone under 18 or knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, write to [email protected] and it will be removed.
Changes to this policy
Material changes are published on this page with a new date at the top. Where a change affects an active subscription, subscribers are emailed as well.
