If the login itself succeeds but the channel list won't load or playback won't start, the cause has usually moved past your credentials and into the network path. Switch away from the frozen channel and back to it: if it recovers, the session stalled and your credentials and connection were fine all along. If it doesn't recover on any channel, test the same login over your phone's mobile data or a different Wi-Fi network. That isolates whether the fault sits with your home connection or with the account itself. Some buffering is oversold capacity on the provider's side and no setting on your Firestick will touch it, which is one more reason to check the account before you start changing device settings.

Your login is tied to a connection limit, not a device limit, and that limit is usually 1 to 5 simultaneous streams depending on the plan. That means the same host, username and password can run on a Firestick, a phone, and a smart TV app one after another, but only as many at the exact same moment as your plan allows. Logging in on a second Firestick while the first is still playing, without adding a connection, is what most people mistake for a broken login when it's really a full slot.

You install a player app first — IPTV Smarters and TiviMate are the two most common on Firestick — and the login screen inside that app is where the host, username and password go, field by field. Some apps accept a single M3U playlist URL instead of three separate fields, which folds the same host, username and password into one link. Either way, nothing gets typed into a Firestick system setting or an Amazon account screen; it all happens inside the player app itself. Save the credentials somewhere outside the app too, since a factory reset or a new device means typing all three fields again from scratch.
