Apple TV's operating system, tvOS, only installs apps distributed through the App Store, there's no developer setting to allow outside sources the way some Android-based boxes have. That's a limitation on the platform itself, not on IPTV as a category. Once it loads, the channel list and guide populate from the server, not from anything stored locally on the Apple TV. If nothing loads on the first try, recheck the exact string or the four Xtream Codes fields character by character before assuming the app itself is broken.

The hardware supports genuine 4K output, but only if three things line up: the source stream is actually encoded in 4K, the app can decode HEVC, and your connection sustains roughly 15-25 Mbps for the length of what you're watching. Apple TV 4K meets the hardware side of that on its own, the stream and your connection are the two variables still in play. If the picture still looks like 1080p despite all three lining up, check your HDMI cable and the TV input itself, since an older cable or the wrong port can quietly cap the signal before the app or stream is even a factor.

Set the buffer to none if the app offers that option, and switch your DNS to a public resolver if you haven't already, these two changes fix more stutter than any other adjustment inside a tvOS player. If a stall clears when you switch the channel away and back, the session stalled rather than your bandwidth, which points you toward a different fix than a settings change. Neither setting requires reinstalling anything or contacting support, they're both changes you make directly inside the player app's own settings menu, and they're worth trying before assuming your connection or subscription is at fault.
